This was my first ever attempt at political cartooning. Ironically, much of this picture's drawing style--cross-hatching, shading, eyeballs--was quickly abandoned, and did not resurface until I began working for the Post this year.
In 2007, Israel had its longest-ever school strike, which ended just after Chanukah. A wonderful "present" for the students, indeed!
