I know that this makes back-to-back cartoons starring Erdogan, but it really just couldn't be helped. For nearly three years, he's been demanding that Israel apologize for the
Flotilla Incident--in which IDF soldiers were attacked while boarding a Turkish ship that was trying to breach the Gaza blockade, and had the gall to defend themselves--and two weeks ago (when this was drawn), Netanyahu capitulated, because of "strategic considerations". Okay, so it's not like I ever really believed he had a spine, but at least in this one specific area I was hoping he'd able to stand firm. Bleah.
